The Maryland Men’s Correctional Institute – Jessup, Maryland - counseled individual inmates, created and led groups for inmates who suffered from PTSD, violence while in prison, drug addiction, and feelings of insignificance and hopelessness
St. Michael the Archangel School- tutored low-income children, ages 6-14, assessed student performance, and provided educational, emotional, and problem-solving support to students, volunteer recruitment and training
COMMUNITY
Vice Chair, Victim Services, Montgomery County Human Trafficking Prevention Committee- The Montgomery County Maryland Human Trafficking prevention committee acts as an extension of the Human Trafficking Task Force aimed at reinforcing efforts to combat human trafficking and recommending best strategies. This is a permanent committee, staffed by the Commission For Women, as part of the county government.
Founder, safe S.E.A.T. in the moonlight, 2016 - non-profit organization that provides safe, stable and unwavering support to individuals who have been identified by police as victims of sexual exploitation and trafficking in Montgomery County.
Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church- assisted with the development of the domestic violence programs.
Board Member of Glow Media- creates films to educate adolescents, their families, and educators in an effort to reduce stigma, correct misconceptions and reinforce the reality that mental health affects everyone. The films deal with teens struggling with drug addiction, eating disorders, sexual identification/ orientation, and domestic violence and mental health.
Principal in Marirose Photography- utilized photography skills for fundraising for nonprofit organizations through auction, premium, and promotional photography including at St. Michael the Archangel School, Neediest Kids, Traumatic Brain Injury Organization, The Woods Academy, and Wednesday’s Child.
Planning Committee- Neediest Kids, Many Hands, and The Woods Academy, researching causes and awarding grant funding to non-profit organizations which benefited at-risk children and mothers
The Woods Academy Parent Teacher Organization- served as President, Vice President, Secretary and Chair, led strategic planning, budget management, fundraising and special events, in addition to establishing programs to collect new and used winter and summer clothing items which were then donated to various Montgomery County charities
